Finding a path that honors these two things and recognizing the “why” behind the change is vital to pushing through the tough terrain and being successful. Ever started something and fizzled out a few days, hours, or minutes later? Yea me too. Then I feel really shitty and like a failure. What helped me though is having someone to check in with and problem solve as speed bumps present themselves or motivation becomes lacking.
So things didn’t work out in the past and now you are thinking that everything you do is destined to fail. Let’s figure out how to dump the baggage of guilt, resentment, and fear and move forward.
Self Care Planning
Not taking care of yourself is no longer the option to choose. Self-care is vital for sustainability and growth for an individual. If you expect to pour from an empty cup you will be left with disappointment and still an empty cup. I won’t be assigning you spa days or long vacations but instead focusing on small breaks and tips to perform more efficient and effectively.
What we focus on grows and manifests into other areas of our lives. Being intentional with our time, resources, and actions means that we are recognizing that there is a finite amount of something and we are telling it where to go. We all have 24 hours in a day yet some people manage to do a lot more with their time than others. Taking an active role in where your own resources go is a way to make sure what you intend to accomplish actually happens. It is also a great way to not spend too much time mindlessly scrolling through Facebook and not finish your book.
